A Taste of Design: Cinco De Mayo with Grace Blu & Middleby at Design Hub

At Design Hub, we believe that the best design stories unfold when creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together. That vision came to life during our recent Cinco De Mayo celebration, hosted in partnership with Grace Blu Design Studio and Middleby Residential.

This exclusive two-part activation welcomed a dynamic group of designers and creators for an immersive day of live cooking, design dialogue, and hands-on content creation — all set within the thoughtfully curated spaces of our Aliso Viejo showroom.

 

Design Meets Culinary: A Relaxed Kitchen Session

The afternoon began in our indoor kitchen gallery, where Nicole from Middleby showcased the vibrant Colors of Middleby collection while preparing a refreshing quinoa salad — side by side with the talented Rona and the Grace Blu team.

This was no high-pressure demo — just a laid-back, bit-by-bit filming experience that allowed for natural interaction, laughter, and spontaneous content moments. As guests captured footage and enjoyed the casual energy of the space, the essence of kitchen design as a lived-in, shared experience came to life.

 

From Showroom to Sanctuary: Outdoor Activation Under the Pergola

As the afternoon sun warmed the space, the event flowed naturally into our outdoor living showcase, where guests experienced a second activation: grilling, dining, and content creation surrounded by the stylish comfort of our custom motorized pergola.

Using Lynx and Evo grilling systems, the Grace Blu team prepared a festive spread of homemade tacos, salsa, rice, beans, pico de gallo, and pan dulces — all while sipping craft cocktails served throughout the filming process.

It wasn’t just an outdoor cooking demo; it was a true celebration of lifestyle design — where product meets purpose, and performance enhances experience.
